1. Take Control and Accept Responsibility
Dec 02, 2019When you follow this guide, you will see how much money is coming in, how much money is going out and where it’s going, and how much money is being saved and invested. That is really where the rubber meets the road. You will finally be in control of your money and that’s exciting.
As a mother of five, taking responsibility would have to be the number one lesson I want my children to learn. Take responsibility for everything in your life, even the actions of others. In this way, you recognize and embrace the control you have in your life. It is incredibly empowering. Nothing is more childish and irresponsible than blaming others for anything or denying involvement in something. If it’s in your life, you are involved. Own that responsibility in every way.
If you search the term “taking responsibility,” you will find some inspiring videos and clips from some very successful people. I suggest looking up a few as homework. As a matter of fact, taking responsibility is mentioned in nearly every leadership and self-help book that has ever been written. There is power in taking responsibility. Every mentor or hero takes responsibility for not only themselves but for their team. We must do the same.
Being responsible. This is where the power is.
